Do I need to uninstall the previous version first?
No. You can just directly run the latest installer. It will automatically uninstall the previous version and install the new one.
Can I update while a scan or recovery is in progress?
Please let the scan or recovery finish first. Then close MyRecover and run the latest installer to update.
Can I update directly from an older version?
Yes. Simply run the latest installer to update MyRecover. There’s no need to install any versions in between.
Will my license remain activated after updating?
Your license should remain active if it covers the version and edition you’re installing. If MyRecover prompts you to activate, enter your license code again.
Will updating MyRecover affect files I’ve already recovered?
No. Updating MyRecover won’t affect files you’ve already recovered. They’ll remain in the location where you saved them.
Is the update included with my license?
Update eligibility depends on your license. Check your purchase details or contact our support team to confirm whether it includes the latest version.
What should I do if the installation fails?
If the update won’t install, visit our Support Center and describe the issue. Include your Windows and MyRecover versions, and attach a screenshot of any error message if available.
Do I need to restart my computer after updating?
A restart may be needed to complete the update. If so, the installer will let you know. Please save your work before restarting.
